What is the iTunes Media Player?

iTunes Media Player can organize and play all your favorite audio and video files including audiobooks, podcasts, vodcasts, TV shows, and movies.  It also easily connects to the iTunes Store where you can purchase many types of media content or subscribe to a wide selection of audio and video podcasts.

Getting Started

In this guide, you will learn how to download and install the iTunes software, create a free account, and find and subscribe to free podcasts at the iTunes Store. Along the way, you'll be introduced to the iTunes interface and also learn how to subscribe to podcasts from other sources using iTunes.

Downloading & Installing iTunes

Watch the video tutorial or follow the steps below:

• Go to the iTunes Download site
• Click Download now button located on the right side of the screen. You'll be taken to the appropriate download site for the OS you are using.
• Select whether to receive news in your email or not. If you choose to receive them, enter your email address in the box provided.
• Download the setup file to your desktop and run it to install the software.  The process uses a wizard to take you through all the steps.  When you're finished, iTunes will open on your computer if it has been successfully installed.
